Pessina, Arturo - Signed Photograph in Tosca Enrico Caruso Virginie Dejazet (1798-1875)Italian baritone (1858 1926), sang throughout Italy and made guest appearances at the Royal Opera Convent Garden, among other theatres. Following his 1910 retirement, became a leading voice teacher, one of his most prominent pupils was the well known bass Tancredi Pasero. Very attractive signed vintage photograph mounted onto a cabinet, shown most likely as Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca, inscribed in Rome, dated in 1902. Bold handwriting and signature.
