A Second War Japanese Wound Badge Province of China 1881-1918 IssueA Second War Japanese Non Combatant Koushou Wound Badge, in silver and red enamels, dual vertical pinback; marked with six Japanese characters; patina, hairline crack on two of the enamel arms, fine condition. In an appropriate period plain wooden box. Footnotes: The majority of Koushou wound badges were often awarded to soldiers that died due to a serious disease during the Second War.
